Attesté — Community Guidelines
Version 1.0 — Effective Date: April 15, 2026
Attesté is a platform built for art collectors, artists, galleries, and enthusiasts. These Community Guidelines exist to keep our community safe, respectful, and focused on the shared appreciation of art.
By using Attesté, you agree to follow these guidelines. Violations may result in content removal, account suspension, or permanent ban, as described below.
1. Respect the Art Community
- Treat other collectors, artists, and gallery partners with respect.
- Do not harass, bully, threaten, or intimidate other users.
- Constructive discussion about art is welcome; personal attacks are not.
2. Content Standards
2.1 What Is Welcome
Attesté is designed for genuine artworks across all media: paintings, sculptures, photographs, prints, mixed media, digital art, textiles, ceramics, and more. We welcome the full spectrum of art history and contemporary practice.
2.2 Artistic Nudity
Nudity is a longstanding and legitimate subject in art — from Botticelli and Michelangelo to Egon Schiele and Robert Mapplethorpe. Attesté respects this tradition.
- Artistic nudity is allowed when it appears in genuine artworks.
- Such works will be labeled as "mature content" and hidden from users who have not opted in to viewing mature content in their settings.
- You should accurately label your artwork if it contains nudity.
2.3 Prohibited Content
The following content is strictly prohibited and will result in immediate enforcement action:
- Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM): Any imagery depicting the sexual exploitation of minors. Zero tolerance — immediate ban and mandatory legal reporting.
- Non-consensual intimate imagery: Sexually explicit images distributed without the subject's consent.
- Real-person pornography: Sexually explicit content depicting real persons.
- Hate content: Material promoting hatred or violence against individuals or groups.
- Terrorism and violent extremism: Content that promotes, glorifies, or incites terrorism or violence.
- Gore and extreme violence: Graphic depictions of real-world violence not in an artistic context.
3. Certificate and Provenance Integrity
- Be truthful about your artwork's provenance, history, and authenticity.
- Do not create certificates for artworks you do not own or have the right to certify.
- Do not use Attesté certificates to misrepresent an artwork's authenticity or value.
- Remember: Attesté certificates are attestations of information you provide — they are not authentication documents.
4. Automated Content Screening
All images uploaded to Attesté are automatically screened using content safety technology.
- Images identified as containing prohibited content will be blocked before they are stored.
- Images flagged for potential concerns may be queued for human review.
- Images containing artistic nudity will be labeled as mature content.
This screening is not perfect. If your artwork is incorrectly blocked, please contact us at info@atteste.art.
5. Reporting Violations
If you encounter content or behaviour that violates these guidelines:
- In the app: Use the Report button (available on artwork pages, profiles, and certificates).
- By email: Contact us at info@atteste.art with details.
We review all reports and aim to respond within 48 hours. You will be notified of the outcome.
6. Consequences
We apply consequences proportionally based on severity:
| Severity | Action |
|---|---|
| Minor (e.g., mislabeled content) | Warning + content relabeled |
| Moderate (e.g., repeated mislabeling, mild policy violation) | Content removal + formal warning |
| Serious (e.g., fraud, harassment, stolen art claims) | Temporary account suspension (7-30 days) |
| Severe (e.g., CSAM, repeated serious violations) | Permanent ban + law enforcement referral |
For CSAM violations: enforcement is immediate, there is no warning or appeal.
7. Appeals
If you believe enforcement action was taken in error:
- You may email info@atteste.art within 30 days of the action with your appeal and any supporting evidence.
- Appeals are reviewed by a different team member than the original reviewer.
- We aim to resolve appeals within 14 days.
- Appeals are not available for CSAM violations.
8. Updates
We may update these guidelines from time to time. Material changes will be communicated through the app, and you will be asked to re-accept the updated guidelines.
